Hi, I'm Kenzie, owner and creator of Playful Cup.

Growing up, I have some of my best memories from playing at a dramatic play center. It had a little house, a grocery store, a post office, and a doctor’s office—you name it. I loved stepping into those worlds, pretending, creating, and dreaming. Looking back, I truly believe those experiences shaped me, helping me grow socially, emotionally, and creatively.

As a former lead daycare teacher, I’ve seen firsthand how important play is, especially dramatic/imaginative play. It’s more than just fun; it fosters critical social, emotional, cognitive,

and language skills. It allows children to role-play, express themselves, and make sense of the

world around them.

Now, as an aunt and someone who’s spent years working with young kids, I see a gap. At home, children don’t always have access to the social interactions or open-ended play opportunities they need. Their play is often structured in school, leaving little room for free exploration. And for the adults? Building friendships, maintaining social connections, or even just enjoying a coffee while keeping a child entertained can feel impossible.
